Jingle All The Way In Paisley
Paisley to jingle once again for its 21st Jingle Bell Fun Run...
Barshaw Park in Paisley will come alive on 7 December as hundreds of runners, families and furry friends take part in the 21st annual Jingle Bell Fun Run. Organised by Active Communities, the fun-filled event has become a highlight of the local festive calendar and promises another day of Christmas-themed fun for all ages.
This year’s event introduces something new for participants, with a one-mile race added to the popular 3K and 1K options. All routes take place entirely within the park, offering a safe and scenic setting for runners of every ability. The 3K covers two laps of the park, the new one-mile event completes one lap, and the 1K follows a half-lap route making it perfect for younger participants.
Every finisher will receive a special Christmas-themed medal, while those who go the extra mile with their festive outfits will have the chance to win one of several spot prizes for the best costumes. Organisers tell us: "Participants are encouraged to wear jingle bells on their hats, coats, gloves or shoes to add to the joyful sound of the day, with bells provided at registration upon showing a race number."
Beyond the races, the Jingle Bell Fun Run offers plenty for spectators and families to enjoy, including free miniature train rides, face painting and live Christmas entertainment. Active Communities, the charity behind the event, continues to use all proceeds to support projects that promote health, wellbeing and community sport across Renfrewshire.
