The Heckington 10 is one of the oldest and most prestigious road races in the East Midlands, first established in 1965. Organised in partnership with Sleaford Striders AC, the 10 mile race starts and finishes within the Heckington Showground and forms part of the annual Heckington Show, the largest village show in England, with race entry including admission to the show.

The accurately measured 10 mile course begins and ends on the grass arena before heading onto quiet Lincolnshire roads. Combining a traditional road racing atmosphere with scenic countryside and enthusiastic local support, the race has earned a reputation as a popular midsummer fixture and regularly reaches its entry limit.

With chip timing, an official finisher's T-shirt and a well organised race day experience, the Heckington 10 continues a tradition spanning more than six decades. Its unique combination of sporting heritage, community atmosphere and access to the Heckington Show makes it one of Lincolnshire's standout road races.
