Mallory Park 5K ready for the summer rush
Very strong likelihood of a personal best on the fast race circuit.
Only is a week to go until the Mallory Park Summer 5K and 1 Mile on Thursday 28 July where runners will be pushing to their limits (and beyond!) for PB’s and prizes. Make a quick move if you're thinking of signing up as online entries close Monday 25 July.
This race is one of several from Race Rapid Mallory who also host cycling and triathlon events and aimed at people of all abilities. If you’ve ever wondered how fast you could run 5K on a circuit then here is the chance to find out at this evening race with a flat tarmac course consisting of three accurately measured laps.
The Open 5K is at 18.45pm followed by the Open 5K (Elite) at 19.30pm. Young runners over 11 years old are welcome to aim for 5K PB glory along with the adults whilst having a blast on this iconic race circuit more used to the sounds of motorsport.
If you are looking to test yourself over a shorter distance then try the Open 1 Mile which involves running one accurately measured lap of the oval circuit. All three races have a mass start and finish in the paddock.
The important bit: there are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female and age category winners.
This event includes the Leicestershire and Rutland AA 5K Road Race Championships.
All parking is free; there is access to changing rooms and showers and the opportunity to purchase food and drink in the Lakeside Cafe.
