The Winchester Off-Road Run returns for its sixth year, offering a well-established trail event in the Hampshire countryside just outside Winchester. With over 1,000 runners taking part previously, it has become a popular early-season race.
Runners can choose between a half marathon (21K) or 12K route, both following a mix of tracks, bridleways, and footpaths around the iconic Farley Mount. The course is rolling rather than steep, making it an ideal start to the year, with tree-lined sections, open views, and a rewarding climb on the half marathon route.
Suitable for all abilities, the event provides a welcoming and supportive atmosphere, whether you are new to trail running or more experienced.
The race is chip timed and fully supported with marshals, first aid, and on-course refreshments. All finishers receive a medal, along with a drink and finisher goodies, making it a great way to kick off the running year.
