Three Counties Trot

Trotting Through Three Counties

Run three counties in one race experience this November...

Billinge Running Club’s flagship race, the Three Counties Trot, will return on 8 November, offering runners the chance to take on a unique five-mile course that crosses Lancashire, Merseyside and Greater Manchester in one event.

The race begins at Janet Lalley Field, with a short race briefing followed by a minute’s silence to mark Remembrance weekend. From there, runners will set off across a varied route that includes lush woodland, rolling hills, grassy paths and rugged trails, with the famous Sheep Mountain providing one of the highlights.

The Trot is known for its mix of challenge and charm, showcasing the autumn colours and countryside of all three counties. Organisers promise a welcoming atmosphere for all abilities, with first-timers, club runners and seasoned trail enthusiasts all encouraged to take part.

After crossing the finish line, runners and supporters can enjoy refreshments and post-race celebrations back at Janet Lalley Field.

Organisers say: "The Three Counties Trot is a highlight of our club’s calendar and an annual favourite with local runners. With its combination of scenic trails, lively atmosphere and supportive spirit, it offers an unforgettable way to round off the autumn racing season."
