Path of Condie Half Marathon

Tough, Beautiful & Rewarding

It is a combination of beauty and toughness that ensures this half marathon sells out year after year...

The Path of Condie Half Marathon will return on 25 October, once again challenging runners to tackle 13 miles of what organisers proudly call 'gently undulating brilliance'. Hosted by Kinross Road Runners, the event starts near Orwell Church Hall in Milnathort and has earned legendary status as one of the toughest but most rewarding half marathons in Scotland.

Described by organisers as a race with 'attitude and altitude', the Path of Condie is anything but ordinary. The route twists and turns through some of the most beautiful countryside around Kinross, Milnathort and Loch Leven, offering constantly changing scenery and gradients that keep runners on their toes. A spokesperson says: "It is not recommended for those attempting their first half marathon, but for seasoned competitors looking to test themselves, it provides an unforgettable experience."

The Path of Condie has become a must-do for runners who love a challenge, with a reputation that extends far beyond the local area. The demanding nature of the route is balanced by the thrill of the descent, the sweeping views and the camaraderie of those who return each year to test themselves against the course.

Course records stand at 1:15:09 for men, set by Stuart Paterson in 2024, and 1:24:49 for women, achieved by Laura Gibson in 2023. With its growing reputation and a strong field expected this autumn, many will be eager to see whether those impressive marks can be beaten.
