Get The Hull Out Of Here

A new running event launches in Hull next month...

A brand new race is heading to East Yorkshire this summer as Grim Up North Running brings its first-ever event to Hull. Taking place on 13 July, Get the Hull Out of Here promises a flat, scenic and welcoming experience for runners of all levels.

Race headquarters will be based at Pelican Park Recreation Ground, providing easy access to the start and finish line. From there, participants will head out onto the TransPennine Trail, following the Hornsea Rail Trail route that leads runners out of the city and into the surrounding countryside.

Speaking about their event, organisers told us: "The course offers a smooth, even surface that is ideal for both newcomers to running and seasoned athletes hoping to set a new personal best.

"Those taking part can choose from a wide selection of distances, including 5K, 10K, 10 miles, half marathon, 20 miles or full marathon. With this range, our event is designed to suit every goal and level of experience."

Grim Up North Running is known for its friendly atmosphere and thoughtful race touches, and this event is no exception. All participants will receive a bespoke finisher’s medal, along with complimentary drinks, a selection of hot food and the organiser’s signature sweet treats.
