Charity At The Heart Of Lindley

Take part in a memorable 10K through the streets of Lindley, with the added bonus of supporting two important local causes...

There's not long to go until North Yorkshire's popular Lindley 10K and Junior Run returns with limited spots still available for the 29 June event. Since its first edition in 2013, the Lindley 10K has become a well-established fixture in the local racing calendar.

The races start and finish outside Lindley Library in the heart of the village near Huddersfield. In the 10K event, runners can expect a challenging profile, with the route climbing from 218 metres at the start to 286 metres by the 3K point, before a fast descent to 142 metres at 8K and a return to the original elevation at the finish line.

Organisers told us that charity is at the heart of their event, saying: "This year’s event will support two charities: the Huddersfield Town Foundation, which delivers sport, health and education programmes across the borough, and the Huddersfield branch of the Royal Air Forces Association, providing welfare and support to RAF veterans and their families. Please do all you can to raise money for these very worthwhile causes."

Organisers are also pleased to welcome Huddersfield Town mascot Terry the Terrier, who will be taking part in the Junior Run. With limited places remaining for the Junior Run and the deadline for the 10K approaching, entries are encouraged as soon as possible.
