Telford T50 Trail Run

Running The Other Way!

Challenging new twist at this year's staging of popular Shropshire trail event...

The Telford T50 Trail Run is back on 19 April with an exciting anticlockwise edition that promises a fresh challenge for runners. With a choice of a full 50-mile route or a 10-mile in-person start followed by a virtual completion, this event offers something for both seasoned ultra runners and those looking for a more flexible experience.

The course takes runners on a stunning journey through Telford, passing iconic locations such as the world-famous Ironbridge, the heights of the Wrekin and historic industrial sites. This incredible route blends history, nature and endurance - making for a truly unique race.

Organisers say: "Four well-stocked checkpoints along the course will provide food, drinks, and, of course, cake - because no ultra should be without it! To mark the occasion, participants will receive the biggest event medal yet, a fitting reward for taking on this tough challenge."

For those who find 50 miles too much in one go, the virtual option allows participants to run the first 10 miles of the route in person before completing the rest at their own pace. Virtual runners will still receive the official route book and medal, ensuring they remain part of the experience.

Starting from the Unicorn Inn in Little Dawley, the event kicks off at 6.30am, ideal for early risers ready to tackle the course. With a well-marked route, well-stocked aid stations and breathtaking scenery, the Telford T50 Trail Run is a must for anyone looking for a rewarding and challenging ultra experience.
