Worksop Halloween Half

Frightfully Fab Half

Halloween race action doesn't get much better than this Notts classic...

One of the country's oldest Halloween themed races will run once again in 2024 and there is still time to bag yourself a spot at the event. We are talking about the Worksop Halloween Half which has been around since 1982 and will this year see runners descend on Nottinghamshire's Clumber Park on 27 October.

Organised by Worksop Harriers & AC, the Worksop Halloween Half (also known as ‘the scenic one’) takes place on the last Sunday in October every year. The course runs largely through Clumber Park which offers beautiful scenery and is perfect for spectators to support family and friends along the route.

Organisers of the race commented: "Try our autumn classic, some have said it is in between completely flat and not quite flat and with several bothersome undulations - we hope that's clear!"

“Seriously though our Halloween themed event has proved extremely popular for both runners and spectators alike, with many competitors wearing fancy dress and creating a wonderful atmosphere in the race village and throughout the race itself."

Over 1300 runners took part in the 2023 edition with Tom Straw of Lincoln Wellington AC nabbing the top spot in a speedy 1:10:10. Hayley Gill of Matlock AC took the honours in the women's race with a great time of 1:22:01
