Still Time To Run The Dark
Countdown begins for North Lanarkshire Council's first event of the year...
With less than a month to go, excitement is building for the first RUN NL event of 2025 - the Nite Lite Run Dark at Drumpellier Country Park on Friday, 21 March. This unique night run still has places available, giving runners one last chance for an organised night race before the clocks change and the lighter evenings return.
The 10K course promises a thrilling experience, starting from Lochend Loch, passing the historic Crannog and winding through the North Calder Trail’s woodland paths. The race will finish beside the park's visitor centre, with head torches provided as part of the entry fee.
This event marks the launch of the new RUN NL brand, under which North Lanarkshire Council will host a series of races throughout 2025, including the Cumbernauld 10K on 14 September and the festive Santa Dash on 7 December.
For those looking to test their endurance, the new RUN NL 10K Championship offers a special discounted entry to both the Nite Lite and Cumbernauld 10K. The runner with the best combined time across both races will be crowned the RUN NL 10K champion.
