Babcock 10K Series Builds Demand As Shettleston Sells Out

Series demand rises across Scotland...

The Babcock 10K Series continues across Scotland in 2026 with races in Shettleston, Dumbarton and Helensburgh forming a well established 10K series on the calendar.

The opening race in Shettleston has already reached capacity, confirming strong demand for this popular race and setting the tone for the rest of the series. Known for its fast and competitive course, it consistently attracts a mix of club runners and those chasing a strong early season performance.

Attention now turns to the remaining races, with the Dumbarton 10K and Helensburgh 10K offering contrasting but equally appealing routes. Both races provide accessible road courses with a strong local feel, making them suitable for runners targeting a PB or simply looking for a well organised event.

Entries for Dumbarton remain open until 14 May, while Helensburgh entries will stay open until 21 May, giving runners a limited window to be part of the 2026 series. With Shettleston already full, demand is expected to remain high across the remaining events.

As a popular race series in the West of Scotland, the Babcock 10K Series continues to attract consistent interest thanks to its simple format, strong organisation and competitive edge. With places now limited, runners will need to act quickly to secure a spot in the remaining races.
