Run Rabbit Run Returns
Trail running and a festival atmosphere guaranteed at this June event...
Trail runners are gearing up for one of the summer’s most unique and challenging events as the Run Rabbit Trail Festival returns to the picturesque Deene Park Estate near Corby on the weekend of 22–23 June.
Organised by the team at Race Harborough, the festival promises two days packed with multi-distance trail races and festival fun. They say: "The Run Rabbit Trail Festival aims to bring runners of different levels and expertise together to share the experience of their encounters over the two days. Individual goals are different, so everyone has a story to tell. In addition to the entertainment on offer, it’s sure to be a memory making event."
At the heart of the weekend lies the festival’s signature challenge: The Quest for the Golden Carrot. Runners brave enough to complete all three featured races - the Trail Mix Challenge (25K), Headlight Hop 10K and Thump Trail Half Marathon (21.1K) will cover a total of 56.1K across the weekend and receive exclusive 'quest bling' for their efforts.
For those not eyeing the full Quest, each race offers its own adventure. The Trail Mix Challenge breaks 25K into five distinct 5K routes run hourly, giving runners time to rest and refuel between efforts. The Headlight Hop 10K takes place in the early evening and features rolling countryside, woodland tracks and open farmland. On Sunday, the Thump Trail Half Marathon closes the weekend with a challenging but rewarding route through the estate and surrounding countryside.
With a buzzing festival village, live music, food and drink and an open invitation for supporters and spectators, it’s a weekend to remember on and off the trails.
