Run For All Junior Races

It's Time For The Juniors

Run For All's junior races will have the added benefit of chip timing in 2026...

Young runners across the north of England will receive an enhanced race day experience in 2026 as Run For All introduces chip timing across all of its Junior events. The change means children taking part in the Junior races will now receive official finish times, allowing them to track their performance while still enjoying the fun and inclusive atmosphere the series is known for.

Organisers say: "The introduction of official timing reflects growing demand from families who want children to experience the structure and excitement of a measured race while keeping participation at the heart of the events."

The updated format begins alongside the City of Lincoln 10K in Lincoln on 11 April, where children will be able to take part in the Junior 2.5K race or the Mini 1.5K event. The programme then continues in Leeds on 14 June, followed by York on 2 August. The series concludes in Bury on 20 September and Sheffield on 27 September.

Mini events will continue to run alongside the Junior races at each location, maintaining a focus on accessibility for younger children and those new to organised running.

The introduction of chip timing will add an extra layer of excitement for participants and families, giving young runners the chance to celebrate an official result while experiencing the atmosphere of some of the region’s most established city races.
