Phoenix Blaze is the second event in the Phoenix Running Manchester Summer Series, held at Chorlton Water Park and Hardy Farm. Runners can choose their distance on the day, from 5K through to ultra marathon, by completing as many laps as they wish of the 5.3K out and back course within the seven hour time limit.
The flat riverside route follows the trails alongside the River Mersey, offering fast, accessible running on off road towpaths with minimal elevation gain. The flexible format welcomes runners, walkers and hikers of all abilities, allowing participants to stop after a single lap or continue towards longer distances including 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon or Ultra Marathon.
The event features Phoenix Running's well stocked aid station, professional timing, bespoke finisher's medals, toilets, changing facilities and parking at Race HQ. As part of the three race Phoenix Summer Series, Phoenix Blaze combines a relaxed atmosphere with flexible trail running in the scenic surroundings of Chorlton Water Park.
