Paisley Half Marathon 2026

Paisley Half Marathon Eyes Strong Second Year

Paisley Half Marathon Back for 2027...

The Paisley Half Marathon is set to make its return on Sunday 7 March 2027 building on the success of its inaugural edition held on Sunday 22 March 2026. That first outing introduced a closed road 13.1 mile race through the town centre and quickly found its place on the Scottish running calendar.

Runners in the 2026 event were taken through Paisley’s historic streets, with the route weaving past local landmarks before a finish near Paisley Abbey. Strong local support and a lively atmosphere helped the event stand out straight away, giving it the feel of a race that had been around far longer than a year.

The 2027 return is expected to keep that same formula, with a closed road course and a clear focus on showcasing the town. The layout offers a mix of open sections and tighter urban stretches, creating a route that feels varied without becoming overly demanding.

It is a race that suits a wide range of runners. Those chasing a PB will find long runnable sections that reward steady pacing, while first time half marathon runners get a supportive setting with plenty happening around them, especially through the closing miles.

With a strong debut behind it, interest in the second edition is likely to grow. Paisley Half Marathon is already moving beyond new race status and shaping into an early season option that runners will return to year after year.

Entries are available now via runABC.
