New 5K At Compton Verney
Three race distances now on offer at this scenic Warwickshire event...
Entries are now open for the Compton Verney Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, with organisers confirming the addition of a new 5K distance for 2026. Runners will return to the grounds of Compton Verney on 12 July for what has become a popular summer fixture in Warwickshire, known for its scenic countryside routes and welcoming atmosphere.
Organisers told us: "This event was formerly known as the Edgehill Half Marathon, but was renamed to reflect its start and finish location at the historic mansion house and landscaped parkland that frame the course."
The half marathon begins on the lawns in front of the house before heading through the villages of Kineton, Little Kineton and Radway. Runners face a late challenge with the climb of Pittern Hill shortly after mile 11 before returning to finish beside the lake on the estate.
The 10K option, introduced in 2023, will return after proving popular with runners seeking a shorter route that still captures the character of the event, while the newly introduced 5K race is expected to widen participation by offering a more accessible entry point within the same picturesque setting.
With rolling country roads and three race options now available this event is going to prove really popular in 2026, act quick to get yourself a spot!
