Regency Runners
This award-winning half marathon offers a visually appealing course complete with a few hills, enthusiastic marshals and plenty of local support...
Regency architecture and fine Warwickshire countryside are on offer at next month's Leamington Spa Half Marathon. One for the Bridgerton fans among you perhaps? The race returns for the sixth time on 23 June with organisers anticipating a sell-out.
They say: "After five sold-out events in a row, demand is high! We are proud supporters of the Myton Hospices as our charity partners for the Leamington Spa Half Marathon. Myton has three hospices in Coventry, Rugby and Warwick and they care for people living with a wide range of terminal illnesses."
Runners can expect a traffic free course that starts and finishes in the heart of Royal Leamington Spa alongside the iconic Royal Pump Room Gardens. The course heads north out of Leamington Spa through scenic villages, passing farms and fields in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside before descending back into the town to finish back where you started.
Runners will have the option to enter the race for free by committing to fundraising £100 for The Myton Hospices, and a portion of the profits from the race will be donated directly to the charity to help fund the continued support of their patients and families.
Those taking part receive finishers medals and optional t shirts. There is also chip timing, post-race snacks and the chance to purchase race photography. Organisers suggest: "After taking part why not stay and enjoy what the town has to offer from its many lovely cafes and pubs?"
Myton Hospices will be hosting the Myton Kids Mile, a free to enter Kids Fun Run which starts and ends next to the adult finish line and all children receive a medal, so the whole family can enjoy the fun! The Pump Room Gardens will be home to the Event Village which is a stone's throw from the start and finish lines.
