Gavin was a member of DK Rugby Club playing for many years and is part of DK Rugby history by scoring DK's only tri at Twickenham. After retiring from the game he gave something back to sport by coaching children at Black Country Triathletes, Tipton Harriers as well as Halesowen cycling. His encouragement of children in sport and passion for everybody taking part is one of the reason the Gavin Tipper 5K is so popular.
