18 Years Young
With its welcoming atmosphere and scenic course, this Worcestershire 10K continues to be a highlight of the summer running season...
The Evesham Town 10K will return on 6 July, organised by Evesham Vale Running Club, this popular 10K will celebrate its 18th year in 2025 and offers runners a chip-timed route through the historic streets, parks and riverside paths of Evesham in Worcestershire.
This well-regarded race starts and finishes at the Race Village on Crown Meadow, where participants can enjoy pre- and post-run refreshments and soak up the festive atmosphere. The course itself is a scenic mix of surfaces, including road, grass, and grit paths, with some short unsealed sections. Runners will be treated to views of Evesham’s riverside and green spaces as they take on this multi-terrain challenge, which winds its way through the heart of the historic market town.
Despite the varied terrain, it remains suitable for standard running shoes and continues to earn praise for both its layout and the enthusiastic support from marshals along the way. Organisers have introduced new pacing flags for 2025, making it even easier for runners to find and follow pacers throughout the race.
The event also maintains a strong community focus, supporting two local charities: St Richard’s Hospice and the Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven. The dedication of volunteers and club members has not gone unnoticed. Following the 2024 race, runner Jamie Bostock shared his thoughts on Facebook, praising the event as “really well organised” with a “lovely route and well marshaled” and giving a special shout-out to the volunteer at the Rugby Club!
