Liverpool's Final Three
BTR Liverpool confirms its final trio of events for 2025...
BTR Liverpool has announced details of its final three events of the year, with entries now open and demand already high following a record-breaking season. The first of the trio is the BTR Women’s 10K and 5K, taking place on 14 September in Liverpool’s scenic Sefton Park.
After a successful return last year, the event is back with the addition of a 5K distance, making it even more accessible. Rooted in the city’s running history, the race offers a supportive and empowering experience for women of all ages and abilities.
Next up is the BTR Wirral 10K on 12 October. Starting and finishing on Ian Fraser Walk in New Brighton, the out-and-back route is flat and fast, making it perfect for newcomers, those chasing a PB, or simply looking to enjoy a coastal run with stunning views across the River Mersey.
The year rounds off in festive style with the much-loved Liverpool Santa Dash on 7 December. Starting at Pier Head and finishing at Liverpool Town Hall, the 5K and 1K Mini Dash bring thousands of Santas to the city centre for a fun, family-friendly spectacle complete with festive music, stilt walkers and real snow. Last year’s Santa Dash attracted over 8,500 participants, the highest number in a decade.
BTR Liverpool continues to grow in popularity, with many events selling out months in advance. Race Director Alan Rothwell praised the surge in interest, crediting the running community and volunteers for helping deliver memorable events throughout the year. Planning is already well underway for the 2026 season, with the BTR Liverpool Half Marathon and 10 Miler scheduled for 15 March.
