Brighton 10K start action

Brighton Breezy!

Go like the wind in the Brighton 10K...

Established in 1984 by Brighton & Hove AC, the Brighton 10K is one of the oldest and most prestigious races in the south east. Here you can enjoy a big city race with a friendly vibe, run over a fast and flat route, with free runner photography and a fantastic finishers' medal.

The 2025 Brighton 10K – on Sunday 16th November – welcomes runners of all abilities. Whether you’re a first timer, running for charity, or an experienced club runner chasing a PB, you’ll enjoy a great morning of running along the iconic Brighton & Hove seaside.

With just over 60 days to go, the final entries for the 41st-anniversary Brighton 10K are selling fast at Runbase Events. The entry fee is £32/£34 according to status. Enter five or more runners, and there is a 10% discount per ticket. There is also a Junior Mile with places still available for £7/£8.

Last year's winners on the iconic Sussex seafront were Adam Clarke (Aldershot, Farnham & District, 29:47) and Cassie Thorp (Portsmouth AC, 33:57). The 2,432 finishers had all returned to Hove Lawns within three hours. The course records are 28:59 by Rob Denmark in 1993 and 33:14 by Louise Damen in 2010.

The race route (image below) never strays far from Brighton's promenade, taking you past many of the best-known landmarks of Brighton and Hove, including Palace Pier, West Pier, the Victorian Arches of Madeira Drive, and the 162-metre-tall i360 observation tower.

The start and finish are on Hove Lawns (BN3 2WN), 500m west of the i360. The Xempo Pace Team will again be on duty to help runners reach their target times. Last year, 340 runners finished inside 40 minutes; nearly 1,000 went under 50 minutes, and 1,683 beat the hour.

Brighton 10K has again been nominated as a qualifying event for the Masters International 10K that will be held within the Bideford 10K on 10 May 2026. The top athletes in five-year age groups qualify for selection for the England Masters team – more information at England Athletics here.

Racing starts with the Junior Mile at 8:45am followed by the Brighton 10K at 9:30am.
