Brighouse 10K

Back In Brighouse

With its blend of speed and scenery this West Yorks 10K looks set for another successful year in 2026...

The Brighouse 10K returns on 19 April 2026, promising another lively and scenic race day in West Yorkshire. Organised by RunAble, the event has quickly built a reputation as one of the most enjoyable 10K races in the region.

Often referred to as the Brighouse and Elland 10K, the course links the two towns on a varied and visually striking route. Starting and finishing in Elland, runners head out along flat canal towpaths towards Brighouse before returning via open roads through the surrounding countryside.

Organisers say: "The 10K route offers a contrast of industrial heritage and natural beauty, passing tree lined waterways, designated nature reserves and wide valley views that make the miles fly by. We know you will love it!"

The course is fast, flat, well marked and chip timed, making it suitable for runners of all abilities, from those chasing personal bests to first timers taking on the distance for the first time. The entry fee includes a finisher’s medal, and participants can look forward to a friendly race day atmosphere with a welcoming event headquarters where runners are encouraged to stay and socialise over a post race coffee.

The 2025 edition attracted more than 250 runners, with Nick Wells taking the men’s victory in 35:55, while Amy Radford was first woman home in 43:58.
