Dark Times Guaranteed
This November event offers a choice between running at nightfall or sunrise...
Tunnel Vision will return in 2025 with a pair of unique races that promise to challenge and captivate runners in equal measure. Staged on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 November, the Everyone Active Tunnel Vision Night and Dawn Runs offer participants the chance to tackle a five-mile out-and-back course featuring the dramatic Oxendon Tunnel, an old railway tunnel stretching an impressive 422 metres.
The Night Run sets off at 7.30pm on the Thursday, while the Dawn Run follows at 6.30am the next morning, giving runners the option to take part in one or both events. Those who double up will be rewarded with interlinking medals, adding an extra incentive to embrace the dark and the dawn. The tunnel itself will be lit with atmospheric mood lighting but head torches remain essential with organisers promising an 'unforgettable experience'.
Participants in the Night Run can enjoy a hot brew and biscuits, while Dawn Run finishers will be greeted with orange juice and a croissant to start their day. Prizes will also be awarded to the top three male and female runners at each event.
Beyond the thrill of running through the tunnel, the event will continue its strong commitment to supporting local charities. In 2025, Race Harborough will again focus on raising funds for the Jubilee Foodbank in Market Harborough and the Weston Favell Centre Foodbank in Northampton. All entrants will be encouraged to donate as part of their registration, helping ensure the event makes a tangible difference in the wider community.
