Tottenham Ten start

Run 10K; Raise 10K

Charity is the biggest winner at the Tottenham 10K...

The Tottenham Ten is a local community-based 10K race organised by The Engine Room Community Centre with great support from the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation – Tottenham FC's official charitable body, committed to delivering on its vision of creating life-changing opportunities across North London.

Tottenham supporters are feeling good since the club ended its 17-year wait for silverware by winning the Europa League trophy at San Mamés Stadium in Bilbao last month. Spurs beat fellow Premier League team Manchester United 1-0 in the final, as Brennan Johnson scored the only goal of the game.

The Tottenham Ten was started as a charity run in 2018. This year was the biggest to date with 232 finishers in 1:38:06. The organisers plan to have 500 runners in two waves on the start line next year in Perkyn Square, Hale Village.

The course comprises two anti-clockwise loops of Tottenham Marshes from East Hale Allotments to the Chalk Bridge. The programme includes the Spurs Foundation Five (5K) Walk and Fun Run. Spurs TV produced this professional race video, featuring current and former Spurs players... see who you can spot...

This year, the top three men zipped round the Marshes in under 37 minutes. First across the finish line was Daniel Snipe (36:07), followed by Chris Alabaster (36:44) and George Cornish (36:53).

Monika Newton (42:14) was the first woman in eighth overall. The female podium was completed by Morven Lean (44:32) and Mary Whittle (45:51). Around 40 people beat 50 minutes, and the hour came up for finisher number 130.

The Waterside Cafe at Stonebridge Lock was a great place to watch the action as the runners filed past on their way to raising an estimated £10,000 for the community work carried out by The Engine Room Community Centre.
