The Shining Tor Fell Race takes place in the Goyt Valley near Buxton in the Peak District. This well established fell race starts near Errwood Reservoir before climbing past the ruins of Errwood Hall to the summit of Shining Tor, the highest point in Cheshire, before continuing along the ridge towards Pym Chair.
The course covers around 5.8 miles with more than 1000 feet of climbing across rough fell terrain, steep ascents and fast descents. Runners can expect exposed hillside trails, open moorland and wide views across the Cheshire Plain and Peak District landscape on this traditional midweek fell race.
