Vimto Zero Partners With Liverpool Half
Runners at Liverpool's sell out half marathon will be rewarded with the unique taste of Vimto in 2025...
The biggest-ever BTR Liverpool Half Marathon has officially sold out, with a record 12,000 runners set to take to the streets on Sunday, 23 March. This year’s race, which also includes a 10-mile event, filled up an unprecedented eight weeks before race day, making it the largest event ever staged by BTR Liverpool.
Marking its 31st anniversary, the Liverpool Half Marathon is a must-run event on the North West’s race calendar, attracting thousands of local, national and international runners. Participants will travel from as far as Argentina, Iceland, Portugal, Switzerland, and the USA to experience the iconic 13.1-mile route through the city’s historic streets.
Adding to the excitement, Vimto Energy Zero has been named the Official Drinks Partner for 2025. The beloved household brand, known for its bold and unmistakable taste, will provide post-race refreshments and will also field a team of Vimto Runners.
BTR Race Director Alan Rothwell hailed the overwhelming demand for places, saying: “Vimto is a household name and we’re delighted to welcome the brand on-board as Official Drinks Partner for the biggest ever BTR Liverpool Half Marathon and 10 Miler – and the largest BTR event we’ve ever staged. We cannot wait to host Vimto and 12,000 runners on 23 March.”
Starting and finishing at Pier Head Liverpool, the race will take runners past some of the city’s most famous landmarks, including Liverpool Cathedral, Royal Albert Dock, and the Museum of Liverpool before a grandstand waterfront finish beneath the Liver Birds and Three Graces.
While race places are gone, volunteer opportunities are still available for those who want to be part of this historic event. If you'd like to know more, visit the BTR Liverpool website.
