Return To Anfield In 2025
2025's Run to Anfield will once again bring the community together for a day of fun, fitness and fundraising...
After a successful debut in 2024, the LFC Foundation’s Run to Anfield 5K is set to return on 2 August and promises to be another unforgettable day for runners and Liverpool FC fans alike. The 5K route takes participants on a scenic journey through Stanley Park, finishing on 97 Avenue before culminating in a memorable moment inside Anfield Stadium.
Organisers tell us: "Runners will have the chance to capture a pitchside photo with their official medal, creating a lasting memento of the occasion."
New for 2025 is the introduction of a 1K Fun Run, offering an inclusive and accessible option for children, families or anyone who prefers a shorter distance. The addition of this event aims to give more people the opportunity to be part of the day and support a vital cause.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the LFC Foundation, which works to tackle social inequalities and improve life chances for young people across the Liverpool City Region and beyond. The charity believes that no child’s opportunities should be determined by their postcode and uses sport and education to drive long-term, sustainable change in local communities.
Participants are encouraged to raise funds through the official Run to Anfield JustGiving campaign, with a suggested target of £150. After registering, runners will receive instructions on how to set up their fundraising page and join the wider effort to support the Foundation’s work.
All runners will receive a special race t-shirt ahead of the event and a commemorative medal at the finish line. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a dedicated Liverpool supporter or someone looking for a meaningful way to stay active, the Run to Anfield offers something for everyone.
