Run Bournemouth!
Sun, sea, and running as it should be at Bournemouth...
With only three months left to secure your place on one of the country's most scenic start lines, now is the time to enter the Run Bournemouth Weekend, scheduled for 11-12 October 2025. It's only at Run Bournemouth that you can experience sun, sea, and running as it should be!
Run Bournemouth provides the ideal opportunity for an autumn escape to run along the magnificent South Coast during a carefully curated weekend running festival. With six different events on offer over two days, from the Run Bournemouth Junior races on Saturday afternoon (11 October) to the anchor event, Bournemouth Half Marathon on Sunday morning (12 October), there really is something for everyone.
Whether you’re chasing a PB or soaking up the seaside atmosphere, the beautiful coastal routes, award-winning beaches and the weekend running festival vibe will appeal to all ages and abilities.
The Run Bournemouth programme starts with the Junior 2K for runners aged 9-12 at 2:00pm on Saturday, followed by the Junior 1.5K for those aged 6-8 at 2:45pm and the Kid's Kilometre at 3:30pm for 3-6 year olds (who must be accompanied by an adult).
The exhilarating Supernova 5K starts at 7:00pm on Saturday. Hundreds of fluo-clad and torch-lit competitors will make a colourful spectacle. Just as darkness falls, the emphasis is on light as the competitors run to the turn point at Boscombe Pier and dash onto Bournemouth Pier.
The action on Sunday begins with the Supersonic 10K at 9:00am on a flat, fast course perfect for PB-hunters. The route includes running on Boscombe Pier and Bournemouth Pier along the stunning coastal promenade.
Bournemouth Half Marathon concludes the programme at 11:00am – the start is timed so it's possible to run this race after finishing the Supersonic 10K for extra kudos!
