Pink Moon Ladies Trail Half Marathon

Trail Race Set To Shine In April

Celebrate strength, community and the beauty of nature this April under the glow of the pink moon...

The picturesque trails of Sutton Scarsdale in Derbyshire will come alive this spring as the Pink Moon Ladies Trail Half Marathon welcomes runners for a night to remember. Taking place on 12 April, this empowering event celebrates women, the great outdoors, and the rising of April’s iconic Pink Moon.

Organised by First Light Adventure, this trail half marathon offers participants a challenging yet scenic route, featuring undulating trails and breathtaking views. Runners will journey through Sutton Spring Wood and climb to the Five Pits Trail, before reaching the turning loop, complete with an aid station. The out-and-back course is designed to challenge even seasoned runners, with finish times expected to be 20-30 minutes longer than a standard half marathon due to the rugged terrain.

In true Pink Moon style, the finish line promises a warm welcome with medals, complementary cake, and hot drinks by a campfire, giving runners the perfect opportunity to relax and celebrate their achievement. Marshals equipped with glow sticks and hi-vis gear will guide participants through the trail, ensuring safety and support throughout the race.

This event is not just about the run, it’s about giving back as well. Proceeds will support The Elm Foundation, a local Women’s Aid charity committed to helping women in need. Organisers are also proud to announce their partnership with the She Races network, solidifying their commitment to inclusivity and ensuring all women feel welcome and supported at their events.
