It's an out-and-back route with 810 feet of climbing (FRA category CM), on tracks, through woodland, fields and moors, interspersed with some short road sections. Virtually all of the climb is on the way out, but runners will be reinvigorated by the views over the Wharfe Valley and across to Ilkley Moor. There will be a water station at around 2 miles and also water available at the finish. The start is a 5 minute walk from the Lido to the unadopted section of road at the bottom of Curly Hill, with the finish back at the Lido.
