Malvern Joggers 10K

Midsummer in the Malvern Hills

Make a night of it at this (not quite) Midsummer 10K...

Mark Midsummer with a 10K race over scenic Worcestershire countryside. Well, the race in question is in fact a week early this year - but who are we to argue? The 2024 Malvern Joggers 10K now has a race date of 19 June - so just under four weeks away.

Organised by Malvern Joggers, the annual trail race takes runners on a route through the foothills of the beautiful Malvern Hills. A spokesperson says of the course: "For those of you that have run before – you’ll know it has a mix of mostly off road terrain and it’s an undulating course with some challenging sections - but everyone finishing always has a big smile on their face!"

This course was run in 2019 for the first time with a new start area near Little Malvern Priory. The course is multi-terrain with mostly hard tracks and tarmac but there are long stretches across fields and uneven ground. There are also sections of the course with livestock so runners are urged to take care.

For their exertions all entrants receive a unique race medal and there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd open then M40, 50, 60, 70: W35, 45, 55, 65.

In 2023 there were around 200 runners with Malvern Buzzards RC's Paul Childs taking first place in a time of 39:09. In the women's race it was Sarah Davies of Malvern Triathlon Club who took the win in a time of 50:08.
