Run Like A Lion At Longleat
You could be on TV at the Longleat 10K next year...
Longleat Safari Park is an iconic venue rarely open to running events. Thanks to 2:09 Events, the Longleat 10K breaks that taboo, with 1,500 runners expected on Sunday, 25 January 2026. And, as if you needed any 'extra' incentives to sign up, you could be an extra in a TV programme!
Channel 5 will have a film crew on site to record the event as part of a behind-the-scenes documentary, Inside Longleat, which provides unprecedented access to the world-famous Longleat House and Safari Park.
The race, although a little hilly, has a spectacular fast finish on Lodge Drive towards Longleat House, which also provides the impressive backdrop for the start. The route takes in Longleat Estate's private, traffic-free roads, with only a short excursion of 400m on public highways as you pass the Bath Arms Public House before the final downhill mile to the finish.
There is a significant climb tackled twice: once soon after the start and again towards the finish. If you're looking for a traffic-free 10K in a stunning setting, then look no further than Longleat 10K.
For children, family or friends, there is the Longleat 2-Mile Fun Run. This popular support event covers the first lap of the 10K, up the hill through to the Bath Arms, finishing with the magnificent run down Lodge Drive at the end of the first lap of the 10K course.
Entries for the 10K close when the 1,600-runner limit is reached. The 2-Mile Fun Run is limited to 100 runners. There will be a large team of runners who work on the estate, who will be the main focus of the documentary, but you could still feature as a vital extra.
This year's Longleat 10K winners were Matt Lusby (35:55) and Gill Pearson (40:03), as 1,042 finished in 1:51:14. Over 500 beat 60 minutes, and 160 were inside 50 minutes despite the hills.
