The Race Is On For Doncaster Spots
With places expected to sell out within weeks, make sure you don't miss out on this fast and fun South Yorks 10K...
The Doncaster City 10K is gearing up for another record-breaking year, with the 2025 event set to take place on 30 November. After its huge success in 2024, the race returns to Doncaster Racecourse for what organisers are promising will be the 'biggest and best edition yet'.
A spokesperson told us: "Entries are already filling fast, with over 3,000 runners signed up and only a few hundred places remaining. We have increased capacity to 3,500 this year, but even that may not be enough to meet demand for a race that has firmly established itself as one of Yorkshire’s favourites. It has been voted Best Yorkshire 10K at the National Running Awards every year since it began!"
The event offers runners a fast, town centre-based route with minimal elevation, aside from a short climb at around the 7.5K mark. Starting and finishing at Doncaster Racecourse, everything from registration and parking to food and post-race entertainment is located within 200 metres, creating a convenient and welcoming race hub. Music from the stadium and a lively crowd provide a rousing atmosphere, while the finishing straight in front of the grandstand ensures a memorable finale for both runners and spectators.
Organisers are thrilled with the growth of the event and the enthusiasm from the running community. They have hinted that future editions may require adjustments to the course or race format to accommodate the soaring demand, but for now, the focus is firmly on delivering another unforgettable race day this November.
