Fun Run starts at 1.30 and the Run and the Walk will start together at 2pm. Same route as last year, varied, challenging and never dull. Hopefully the pipes will play again this year.....the bagpipes and hose pipes if needed! Start and finish in the heart of Cove at the Burgh Hall where you will register and there are toilet facilities and bag drop.
The route is mixed terain, starting on the flat along road and pavement then turning up onto the forestry track which is undulating dirt track with lovely scenery. The forestry track will be a little challenging as it has a slow incline but once you reach the 5km point then it's a satisfying downhill run on the track then pavement all the way back to the hall. You can also enter to walk the 10k which will set off at the same time as the runners at 2pm. So no pressure to run all the way, you can always walk it if you get tired. The run is for 16 year olds and upwards and the walk is for 8 year olds and upwards, under 12s need to be accompanied on the walk by a paying adult.
