Sea of red and blue at the BTR Liverpool Santa Dash

Only four days left to enter BTR Liverpool Santa Dash

Still time to get into Santa mode at this popular festive 5K (virtual) run.

There are just four days left to sign up for the biggest Santa run in the UK. The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash is a virtual event this year as a result of Covid-19 but people can still get festive in this much-loved 5K and support eight charities that have been affected by the pandemic. The event takes place on Sunday 20 December.

Coronavirus has spoiled many things this year but its days are numbered as the vaccines roll out, giving us hope for the future. So here is a chance to present a united front to this menace by wearing a red or blue Santa suit and dash around a route of your own choosing and share photos of your run/jog or walk on social media. Participants can take heart from the fact that their efforts help these eight charities to continue their vital work in the community.

Socially distanced groups of Santas have been spotted in and around the region, putting their best feet forward as they celebrate this event in their own way. Their efforts have been appreciated by Alan Rothwell, BTR Race Director who says: “On behalf of the team at BTR I’d like to thank everyone who has taken part and keep the profile of this established event alive and well.”

Registration for this event is at the Santa Dash pop-up shop in Williamson Square, Liverpool City Centre. Call in, enter and pick up your Santa suit, run number and medal. The shop is open every day until Saturday 19 December.

Participants are reminded to send their post-run selfies to BTR Liverpool for display in their online gallery.

Sign-up online now.
