Apocalypse Run

Are You Brave Enough To Face Death?

Face 'Death' in one of the most challenging and rewarding trail races of the autumn...

The Apocalypse Run returns to the Cotswolds on 2 November, challenging runners to take on one of the four legendary Horsemen of the Apocalypse in a demanding off-road race through rugged countryside near Stroud.

This year’s event, themed 'Death', marks the third race in the four-part Apocalypse series following Conquest, War and Famine. The 10-mile trail promises mud, hills and breathtaking views as competitors battle through the elements to earn one of the series’ striking medals.

Starting on Horsemarling Lane in Stonehouse, the route begins with a steady one-mile climb before leading runners onto the rolling, muddy trails of the Cotswolds. With 1,371ft of elevation gain, the course offers a true test of strength and endurance with terrain varying from tarmac to deep, slippery mud.

Participants can expect dramatic views and a 'wasteland-like' landscape as they push through the toughest sections. Organisers describe the event as 'a beautiful trail run for an unbeatable price' with runners praising both the course and organisation. One previous participant said: “Incredible course matched only by the seamless organisation. Definitely worth adding to your run list.”

This year’s finisher medal features one of the four living beings of the apocalypse (man) and joins a collectible set that includes previous designs of the ox, lion and eagle.
